Hola Amigos!
We are inviting you to participate in the fast approaching 21st Annual Jalapeño Open Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held on Friday, July 27th at Falcon Crest Golf Club and all proceeds from this event will benefit the Hispanic Business Association’s (HBA) Richard G. Cortez Scholarship Fund.
HBA scholarships are funded entirely by corporate donations and proceeds from the annual Jalapeño festivities presented by Metalcraft, Inc. Since 1993, we have granted nearly $280,000 in scholarships to 348 Hispanic high school graduates and ongoing college students who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership skills, personal goals, and community service. The HBA and Metalcraft, Inc. are dedicated to expanding access to education for Idaho’s high-achieving Hispanic students and helping them become positive role models and productive citizens in our community.
We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our sponsors and participants for contributing to the success of last year’s event and a warm WELCOME to those joining us for the first time. Your generous support will make it possible for young men and women to pursue their dream of higher education.
Everyone benefits when we invest in a generation of leaders that represents the diverse society in which we live.
Ken Cortez, Tournament Director
Phil Batt, Honorary Chairman
